Effective May 1, 2010
New fee rates and schedules will implemented in the OC Planning Department in accordance with Ordinance 10-008. A
streamlined permit, plan check, and general services system will be instated for enhanced efficiency and clarity as per
customer request.
Effective April 23, 2010
In response to customer demand we are extending our business hours. Effective April 23, 2010 the public permit counter will be open from 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday.

OC Community Development will also request a PDF copy of plans once the permit has
been issued. This PDF document can be submitted on CD, DVD or Memory Stick.

Effective January 7, 2010
In response to customer demand a representative from the Orange County Fire Authority
(OCFA) will now be available at the Public Counter every other Thursday from 8:30
AM – 12:30 PM. This representative can respond to customer questions and review
plans for consistency with OCFA regulations. If you have any questions about this
improvement please don’t hesitate to contact us.
Effective January 4, 2010
The Orange County Fire Authority will require that all new plan submittals and revisions
include 2 hard copies of plans and one electronic copy in PDF format.
